Different Types of Anxiety and Fears
1.Generalized Anxiety Disorder: if you are anxious all day regardless your place and work and if this anxiety continues more than 6 months, you have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It is observed during ages of 20 to 40 and are equally common between men and women.
2. Social phobia: it is a common phobia. Person fears that others want to humiliate, damage or attack him.
3. Simple Phobia: this type of fear includes fear of high places, animals, air flight or airplane, elevator or escalator, thunderstorm, driving, darkness, premature burial or death.
4. Panic Attack: it is a frequent intense anxiety disorder that lasts a short periods of time. When panic occurs, person feels dizziness, rapid heartbeat, dyspnea, a sensation of choking, or hot flashes.
5. Obsessive compulsive disorder: it is a mental disorder in which a person feels need to perform certain routines repeatedly to avoid dangers. Common compulsions include pollution sensitivity, doubts, and checking to see if a door is locked.
6. Panic disorder: it is characterized by reoccurring unexpected panic attacks. There may be ongoing worries about having further attacks and its effects. It should be considered that these attacks are not as the reason of taking certain drugs or a specific disease.
7. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is characterized by excessive worry about events or activities. Symptoms may include excessive worry, restlessness, fatigue, sensitive muscles and difficult sleeping, and concentration problems which at least three of them accompany with worries.
8.Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD): it seems that the disorder effects men and women equally. It is most common between professional athletes (always for best performance). Its symptoms include panic disorder, dyspnea, trembling, rapid heartbeat, and dizziness, perspiration, sensation of choking, numbness, and pain in chest.
